What is an NROC course?

NROC identifies and aggregates the best online courses and content available. Working with a developer network of academic contributors, instructional designers, media producers, and programmers, NROC's editorial staff has created the NROC course development guidelines used to evaluate each course in the library. NROC partners with course developers and contributes additional development resources to improve the student learning experience and to maintain the quality of the course library.

The NROC courses utilize various combinations of video, animation, still graphics, simulations, text and audio to provide a resource beyond the development capacity of most educational institutions and organizations. The courses also focus on student activities, interaction and collaboration that take advantage of online communication tools.

All NROC courses adhere to specific editorial and technology standards. These standards ensure that all materials included in the library meet the curricular requirements of the course and can be widely distributed and imported into most course management systems.
